Several things are up in the air at the moment. I personally don’t mind breeding animals for meat. Depends on if I can get the rest of this multigenerational house on board with me.

Got to watch out for actual weasels here. My mom raised chickens as a kids and the martens devistated the flock several times.

yeah, chicken wire is more about keeping things out, than keeping things in. And you learn to simply kill predators pro-actively. Remind who the apex is.
