This is taking off pretty hard so two things: Homeschool your kids if you don’t want them exposed to rapacious teachers and poisonous families. Public school is a meat grinder where many die. And help support my kids’ growth by buying my book:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S33YGJZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QDj5CbGPBR7BW …

I think very early on "baby talk" helps learning simple sillables and sounds. But I agree that generally it is probably bettert o just talk naturally to children.

The research backs it up.

My wife's an early intervention speech therapist - says baby talk / mirroring their sounds back to them is critical for speech development. I'm not sure at what age it becomes less critical. Yours are probably doing so well because you actually engage with them.

Guys, guys! Great news! I checked with my wife! She said you're all doing fine! Really though - she says the key is to engage with them at their level. It's good to infantalize the baby. Goo goo gaa gaa mama baba dada helps them learn to make those sounds.

I speak to both my cat and dog in full sentences. They now converse with each other in fluent Latin, Cantonese and Armenian.pic.twitter.com/zEnFf4Ze6m

I’m sorry they only speak three languages. If you actually loved them, you would’ve started with professional tutors at six weeks old.
