One issue in this working mom / homemaker mom debate is it’s assumed traditionalists believe women can’t become good workers. The truth is that mothers have MORE IMPORTANT work to do. A mother shapes the psychological health of future generations from birth with her bare hands.

I don't understand why people look down on women (and men) whose primary job is managing the household. Knowing exactly when it's time to buy things is not easy, knowing how to budget all the bills, get everything clean and keep stuff running smoothly takes serious management.

The issue is an extension of the problem w/ self-determination. If nature says you are one thing, not another, and better suited for one purpose, not another, by golly that's a tyranny over the human will that needs to be overthrown.
