Nearly every society in the world built individual identities based on a person’s father. His name, his honor, his recognition, and the time he gave his children to mark them as worthy. Then in a few short decades we decided fathers aren’t important. How’s that suicide rate?

I’m not sure I see the connection. On the flip side, one can say that the pressure to live up to that notion in a world where it’s gets harder to do so, is a factor?

I think you’re mistaking the target of my statement. Suicide of fatherless children who feel abandoned, unwanted, lost, directionless, and without a foundation.
