My father-in-law died of ALS two months after my wife died, so his last days were filled with overwhelming grief. He was devout, and that was his reward.

I love that God is “almighty” in every way except keeping His believers from being completely mindfucked and destroyed physically by Satan. There He is helpless or unwilling to provide anything more powerful than a smoke signal.
