I think if more young people like you are open about what Gods Grace has done for you (from ups and downs and in betweens) we can probably generate a younger generation more apt to remembering what Christ can overcome than what those without can’t overcome.

No need to apologize dear. I was certainly not from a perfect upbringing and needed a lot of grace in my younger years and still made a lot of mistakes. I don’t agree with the overall cultural expectation of perfection when we find Christ. We always need to receive his graces

But American attitude is very polar. All or nothing. So I think cultural norms as they are makes it easy to forget that people can sincerely and earnestly change. And frankly I hate that outlook. If it were true I wouldn’t be here.
