You should try to get a pork butt and smoke it, I'm sure you've got a kettle grill somewhere. I made wonderful pulled pork that way.

I suggest Applewood for your pork, or Pecan. You can get by with some pretty basic briquettes. Only big stuff I'd suggest spending more for is a good instant-read thermometer. It helps a lot.
