That actually is what I mean. Trauma builds powerful associations and then begins to spread to anything that even slightly resembles the original associations. The fact that she’s able to encounter this while smiling suggests health and adaptation instead of being stuck on it.

Thanks. She’s been *weirdly “ok” since the wreck. Like it didn’t happen. Some worry about. Idk. Her mom was remarkably able to accept and play the hand she was dealt and maybe my daughter got a lot of that.
