Short story about Alan Dean Foster. customer service, and a 20 year gap. When I was about 12, I read a bunch of Alan Dean Foster novels. He was my favorite author at the time. I’d never dreamed of such concepts as he created in sci-fi and fantasy. Blew my tiny mind.

That's awesome. I've only read a couple of his books, but I liked them.

Thanks for sharing, bro! Somehow I missed reading an ADF novel till my editor told me to read the original Star Wars novel as a homework assignment. The man is a master! Good to know he's a consummate pro, too :)

I'm Sad I never reached out to RIP Jerry Pournelle. His Prince of Sparta affected me a lot in good ways.

So true. I once read "Wikinomics", which really inspired me. I tweeted at
@dtapscott to thank him for it. I'm not sure if he responded. Then he wrote a book about "blockchain" and I gave some criticisms. He then blocked me. I just had to google his name again because I forgot.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
