People have been making the same rap music video for 10 years straight now.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who has noticed... Hip-hop needs a creativity injection please.
Music videos used to be a lot more unpredictable and exciting.
If you have ideas, holler.

I miss the old music videos that told a story as the video went on. Sometimes the story wasn’t even obviously connected to the song, just tied to the beat. Two layers of entertainment. The biggest example of this is Pink Floyd’s Brick in the Wall movie, but it could be anything.

And you could get super creative. Wandering swordsman fighting up the chain to his peak. Businessman making work and family life balance out. Dude on a bad date. Drag racer with a hear of gold. Anything.

In line with this idea and with Pink Floyd, Kamelot did two albums of awesome songs which together retold the story of Faust. A flowing story throughout the album with an accompanying film, even an animated film, would be a return to the foundation set by the masters of the craft

Just my two cents. Wouldn’t be hard to design a 4-minute story, even on a budget.

Woman in a cyberpunk slum finds cyborg swordsman bleeding out and slumped in an alley. Takes him home to a ruined church, bandages him up. Thugs come to extort money from her. He wakes up, finds his bandages, and takes them out. Splice in clips of the singer in a cyber costume.

Lonely Highway sees the singer walking endlessly through a parched desert in dusty clothes, boots, and a tattered, voluminous hooded cloak singing the lyrics, and splice in clips of shows and real life events, at the end crest a hill and find a lush oasis. This stuff is easy.
