Took my son to a fair with a bouncy house. Little boys jumped around inside. The outside was ringed with women clustered at the windows, shrieking at the boys if they even came close to physical contact. They dragged boys out, scolding and shouting. Not a father in sight. Thread

I have been an educator, my mother and grandmother have been educators. I would agree with the core messages that boys should be allowed to test/use their strengths, today's parents hovering is nuts and that children need fathers. however...

..the bottom line made is objectively false. it is a fact that we live in the most peaceful and stable times ever, historically speaking. less men murder and die than ever, parenthood in general is a modern concept. things have improved a ton - also thanks to women's influence.

you are referring to something that's on the rise right now, where you are. I am referring to the fact that our world's society has never been more prosperous, murdered less or lived longer than today. and women have a great part in that.

Data on the suicide rate, statistics on mass shootings, climbing depression rates in women, and rise of gang violence in urban areas seems to disagree with your assumption that people are healthier now. While overt violence may be down, Health appears to be plummeting as well.
