Took my son to a fair with a bouncy house. Little boys jumped around inside. The outside was ringed with women clustered at the windows, shrieking at the boys if they even came close to physical contact. They dragged boys out, scolding and shouting. Not a father in sight. Thread

Sad it’s such a misconception. Being a ‘traditional woman’ means you reach your potential in more ways than just one’s career.

This reminds me of Chesterton’s notion about how odd it is for the solely career woman to be thought more liberated when she’s just one thing to certain people. Whereas the traditional mother must be everything to her family: doctor, chef, caregiver, teacher, lawyer, etc. etc.
