“A real man doesn’t care what people think of him.” False. A real man stands for his principles regardless of pressure to abandon them. But in a society where principles are no longer taught, we default to this idea of real men being divorced from all opinions. No honor code.

Why is it that twice now you have first thought of strangers and men without value before thinking of your own tribe? Modern thinking teaches us that opposition and defiance are more important in strength than belonging and connection.

You have more choices than “Care what no one thinks” or “Care what everyone thinks.” This was hammered home tonight for me while reading a book about fashion, of all things. @tannerguzy
