“Why hasn’t there been another Great American Novel?” Because novel writing was dragged into universities and artsy circles where it’s become an expression of feelings instead of a personal craft. Schools stifle creativity to churn out literary snobs who produce formulaic dreck.

I'm wondering if there will one day be an increasing number of internet only novels with a niche but devoted audience bypassing a non caring publishing industry. Novels not considered novels by official critiques. A bit like the music industry.
