I think that there are probably some amazing and severely overlooked stories that are capturing the lives of people living today and in the recent past that deserve visibility. I’ve been trying to talk my mom into telling her story because she lived through so much crap.

I’m also tempted to write down my grandpa’s life story that he recorded on VHS, but I am concerned that some of the stuff could have me visited by people from a boot shaped country.

It's the publishers, if they don't recognize the style it ain't getting printed. Most authors have to print out a couple decent books before they'll be allowed to roll the dive on style.
