People aren’t getting this. I’ll be clear: Men who abandon their child wound not only the child but the whole of society for generations with residual pain. Such men should be branded on the face with hot iron as a mark of shame and outcast from all jobs and association forever.

What if he’s abusive? Isn’t it better for the child that he leave them alone to have a healthy relationship with another man rather than wrestle with the confusion of loving an abuser?

Then change. Grow up for the sake of the children. That reminds me: We need to bring back public humiliation for abusive fathers. The stocks, pillory, crushed bones. Fatherhood is a sacred duty, a covenantal responsibility to serve God and all of Mankind. There are consequences.
