Are you asking if I prefer my brother didn’t commit suicide?

:( Well, they have to understand death at some point anyway. Though of course preferably not through trauma.

I’ve noticed how children seem to accept death easier than adults.

On the surface, at least. They’re still forming their ideas of how the world works. For us, the world shouldn’t work this way where we lose someone. We resist. But they accept as total fact and that can also be dangerous.

Having a farm and see animals die from time to time has helped my daughter understand death. In a way it's sad to deal with that at such a young age, but I'm also thankful that's it's not something I will have to teach her once a human family member dies.
