Wrote 3,100 words in my spare time this week. Landing to jump that up to 8,000 during the week and 10k on the weekend. 18k a week will get me a complete book per month.

The closest I've done to this is what I call "pipe-laying edits." I introduce something in a chapter that came to me (and thus not foreshadowed) and I'll hop backwards in my manuscript and add it. Similar things with discrepancies. I don't edit prose or style, only continuity.

Yes, this. Tweak the outline with ideas. Keep a running notepad of future scene ideas. But chronological writing.
