between going homeless and mental problems everything was hell and not to metion now i have to do some things as a adult (just turned 18) that i didnt figure out as a kid

I was homeless for 6 months after my medical discharge. The oldest boy I'm mentoring right now is 16, he has no dad and a drug addicted mom. I'm slowly showing him how cruel the world is, and doing my best to prepare him for it. I often use my life as an example for these kids.

So do I lol. This is why I do it. Me and a few men in my church. It's a part of our youth program. Our church sits in a very bad gang filled neighborhood. Its full of young men in need of direction.

I don't think it's ever too late. I am still learning. It's why I follow people like

I didn’t get this way by accident, and I certainly didn’t start out this way at 18. I was a worthless spineless loser until at least 26. Prayer, connecting with masculine men who challenge you, a wife who challenges you, more prayer, and ruthlessly finding new solutions.
