People out here today genuinely mad that a story about a world of amoral sociopaths includes a seemingly moral character suddenly becoming an amoral sociopath.

Welcome to postmodernism: You don’t get to have moral heroes. The fact that so many of you want to see good triumph and not be corrupted speaks to the kinds of creators you should be starving for funds.

The problem isn’t that it happened. The problem is the hilariously bad execution.

The comic value alone of seeing the scrambling of all those people who named their kids after a Yas Queen Slay who decides at the last second to slay everyone is priceless.

She was never a moral character. All her choices served her gathering more power. She was always might makes right. She happened to have emotional empathy for certain people who were suffering, but that is not morality in itself.

It's not that. It's that they didn't consider the possibility that 1) good people could become corrupt and 2) they always saw the character as their little tyrant rather than as someone who could be tyrranical to innocent people too.

Jon is a good and moral hero. But he represents what happens when men refuse to step into their full potential and take the responsibility they need to.
