The cause of so much switching around between religious views isn’t the brokenness of the views themselves. The issue is damaging behavior done by garbage parents who show their kids the overwhelming hypocrisy of their own faith. Kids see that and run away from what you espouse.

Parents are tasked with raising healthy children who will become responsible adults. Whatever you’re teaching your kids, make sure you’re living your views. Build those morals and values into every conversation as a given. Show them you believe what you teach.

The takeaway: If you’re trying to raise Christian kids but you skip church most weeks, don’t read the Bible, don’t bring God into daily conversation, and don’t ask your kids to reflect on what Scripture encourages in each situation, you are not raising Christians.
