Been studying Chris Fox’s books for new perspectives on the writing craft. He claims he can take my 2,500 words per hour and raise it to 5,000. I’ll be trying his method out starting today.

I’ve published 2 books already this year, with 3 more ready to go by summer. I’d like to get at least 1 more out and have 6 published in 2019. But even that isn’t enough to cut it as a modern author. I need to find and use every tool to crank productivity much higher.

In addition, quality must not be sacrificed for speed or quantity. I’m maintaining connection with no less than 4 writing groups. I’ve been studying better editing techniques, and I’ve got a load of beta readers and a professional editor for every project.

I’m posting all this here as a public declaration to raise accountability. My productivity is about to skyrocket and I’ll be targeting genre markets with better opportunities. Keep an eye out for exciting announcements of new projects in the near future.

How do you look for that oversaturation? I know Fox did one video talking about identifying your target audience, in which he went through the best sellers in a genre and how well they're selling.

That’s one way. I’m studying this right now to figure out how to identify target markets ripe for new material.
