Society treats fathers as if they’re unnecessary because fathers have allowed themselves to be cast this way. Not enough men talk about the benefits of having a fully present father, and few are exhibiting those traits. Too many dads are checked out and disappointing their kids.

My employer allows dads 4 weeks of paid paternity leave. My wife went back to work & explained to the other women that I was home taking care of the baby. The women said, "Good now he'll know what it's like!" Or, "It'll be nice for him to get the practice." PS: I'm very involved

This was our 2nd kid but the other women were gitty that I would be forced to be the sole caregiver for a month. My wife had to explain to them that it was new for me help and not a punishment.
