Since Christmas I’ve dropped 2 shirt sizes from XXL to L. 1 cup of raw cabbage 6x per week, probiotic capsules, targeted vitamin supplements, and portion control. No exercise. Eating burgers, pizza, burritos, ice cream, and fries. You don’t have to hate life. Just be mindful.

My instructor was a total hippie, would have been in 1980 Summer Games for foil if not for boycott. She also taught yoga and it did help for flexibility, strength, and pain tolerance. Last bit was critical as a leftie that preferred close fighting.

Foil means you’ll get hit, but you can still get the touch. This was also a bit before corps-a-corps (physical contact between fencers) was a mandatory yellow card to both penalty.
