About six months. Anyone that says otherwise is blowing smoke. I proposed after three months, it really doesn't take that long to decide, and we were married in about a year. If there aren't dates set it is magic talk.

I wouldn’t disagree with this. 6-7 months is when people reveal who they really are and what their goals truly are, the honeymoon phase. If you’re not engaged by 8-12 months, it’s generally not looking good.

And there should be a general warning here that people without a shared religion are doomed. Don't do that. And hormones help to steady the boat in the first few months when you discover the flaws in your spouses character.
