Offer to pray for your kids. It is important that they understand (And we can always use the reminder) that prayer is the most we can do, not the least. Indeed, prayers shapes our thoughts, which become actions and encourage us in spite of our failings.

I was JUST thinking about this yesterday when I was driving to the store with my son. Because there was so much trauma with his gestation and delivery (and first four months), I didn't bond with him well. But the day after he was born we had him baptized in the hospital...1/?

Working on it! I just started doing Bible study with my 6/yo. Nothing formal, just reading the Bible together and talking about it at a level he can understand. He asks so many questions we’re lucky to get through a chapter per day!

But we also talk about where to look when we don’t understand, and that it’s ok to not understand everything. Just keep trying, praying, and trusting in God’s grace. I’m trying to equip him to study for himself one day!
