Why were people 100 years ago so much more literate than even our high verbal IQ homeschooled types? I suspect the end of letter writing, which the telephone replaced with conversation. I'm saying this as a warning to my mutuals to not worry if I drop a long epistle in their DMs.

Could letter writing: -be secret sauce writing composition practice? -provide similar dopamine hits as social media? -forge deeper bonds of friendship than like buttons usually do? I'm going to try and see.

I was discussing this with another mutual on Sunday and your name came up. I'm willing to take this as a sign. Plus you're the ideal target for this, a mutual who I don't really know that well but feel comfortable around.
