This may sound stressful, but I assure you it's not for me in particular. I tend to just know all of these things, no notes required. I do pretty well keeping things in order just in my head alone. Unless I'm misunderstanding your question.

I just meant, when I’m struggling to be productive I go back and outline a little deeper. Have you tried that method to break the funk?

I see. I often flush out later parts, but I don't recall ever doing it with what I'm currently working on. Not that I recall anyway. Normally, I know what I'm doing when I get there, so I don't really think about it either way. I could actively try doing so.

Some people completely fly by the seat of their pants. Others completely document every microscopic detail ahead of time. I’m more the latter.

Same. Thankfully so, since I'm writing a detective story. The details are kinda important.

I have no idea if this will be useful for you, but here’s my outlining method.https://adamlanesmith.com/2018/10/27/my-outlining-and-writing-method/ …

I see where a confusion may have manifested in our conversation. I'm well past these stages, about a quarter through the book. You've got me beat on the word count though. My average is around 2,000 in a work day. Though in my defense, I am actually slow... and dyslexic.

My problem seems to be making work days a thing.

That can be tricky for sure.

I did have a case of the good ol' writer's block, and the chapter certainly seemed to suffer for it. I'm gonna have to go back and repair the damage at some point. But luckily I seem to be over that particular issue. Hopefully it won't happen again when I go back for the fixes.
