Okay, folks. Especially you older guys. Hit me with the best and/or most classic Vietnam War songs you’ve got. Compiling a new writing soundtrack.

I don't know where I fall in with the "old guys" you tagged, but I answered anyway. Some really good suggestions here. Quite a few are on my work playlist.

Compared to me? My dad was too young for the Vietnam draft by 4 months.

My dad got his "greetings from Uncle Sam" in mid '62. His first born was on the way, so I kept him home from that little dust-up. I remember my uncle and other family friends being over there. It was regular evening news fair.

I had two uncles who were changed hard by the war and were never right. Vietnam hit my dad’s family pretty hard.
