Sounds bizarre. My parish was boom, done. Conditional baptisms done for both, priest told us to take communion and give confession before we were even confirmed.

They were just happy to have new Catholics. Very happy. Hugely accommodating, ran private RCIA sessions just for us on our schedules, everything.

So I guess what I mean is, might be a parish issue. When I ask who’s giving you the runaround I mean is it one person? The priest? Have you contacted your bishop for help?

They should, you’re right. A lot is left up to the bishop and how he wants to do things and that reflects in how the priest approaches the bishop and makes arguments on your behalf... sounds horrible frustrating. :/
