I’ve got a few authors I look up to. I pursue them and ask endless questions about our shared craft, their story decisions, anything I can get from them to learn and improve my own skill. Always pursue your heroes and always be on the lookout for new (knowledgable) teachers.

@David_JWest because his books provoke intense feelings as you read them. From laughing out loud to sneering to pumping a fist and cheering, his books move you with vibrant scenes and settings which swallow you whole. This skill is one I am rabidly eager to develop.Show this thread -

Isn’t he just writing smut or am I misinterpreting the well endowed females clutching at each other? This...does not seem consistent with the Christian ethics of chastity and marriage.

That particular series definitely walks a fine line for me, but I’ve been surprised at how maturely he handles the content.
