Taking this test also reminded me how absolutely inhumane education systems still are. You are absolutely forbidden to take anything in with you other than your ID and maybe a bottle of water in a transparent, unlabelled bottle.

You have to arrive 1h in advance and the test takes about 3 hours. So that is a lot of time to go without eating. And no, there was no watermachine. I managed to drink a bit when taking a bathroom break. :/

On the bathroom break, your ID is taken and you are escorted _into the bathroom_. At least the guy didnt come to the stall with me.
Is this a language test or an international prison?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likesShow this thread -
Also, you must leave your phone in the cloakroom. Which is fine. But you are explicitly requested to turn it off. In case you have a radiowave transmitter chip in your brain I guess??????

And of course they are "not responsible for any damage or loss of belongings left in the cloackroom". Which is standard for all cloakrooms and I never understood it. The f* is the point in a cloackroom then?! I might as well throw my stuff on the ground, no?

"Pay me a lot of money, give me all your stuff, go into this closed room you are not allowed to leave for 3 hours and I may or may not return all your stuff at the end. Who knows?"

For the record, none of my stuff was lost or damaged. But it sure is nice to know the people who practically confiscate it take no responsibility for it.

I am grumpy. Could you tell? Mainly I am angry at myself for screwing up the last part.
