Wait what? Which of the ten commandments is it okay for Christians to break then? Pretty sure adultery, murder, and idolotry are still no nos.https://twitter.com/richiecastaldo/status/1083631468482445312 …

This is monstrous heresy and an insidious false teaching which has been with us since the earliest days.

I suppose if we truly love God and love others then we'll follow the commandments even if they aren't explicitly stated? But the argument that we need not live under them just doesn't make any sense.

The Ten Commandments are literally detailing the specific ways we love God and one another to make sure the major points are covered. Jesus summed them up by telling us the spirit of the law which was lost in following the letter of the law, but the Commandments all remain.

Violating any of the Ten Commandments means you are not loving others or loving God. You are surrendering to sin and dragging them into the suffering with you, which is not loving.

Correct. The Ten Commandments hold true as the most loving path and the consequences are still death, but Jesus paid the ransom and the debts are forgiven. We’re still to keep to these laws (“I did not come to abolish the law but fulfill it”) but we are also forgiven.
