I’m not even joking. That’d be a great move that still leaves the door open for the man to initiate by asking for contact info. It also serves as a written notice of interest to avoid legal complaints later... anything to stack the deck.
What I mean is: Social cues women use are often entirely missed by the vast majority of men. Are blatant statements of interest out of the questions?

This still puts men in the position of risking everything, including their job and future, by asking for a date. Until legal situations change and men don’t live with a guillotine hanging over their neck at all times waiting for the slightest mistake, risk-taking is unlikely.
