Men are happiest when they have a mission. A man who believes he has failed in his mission with no hope of redemption will fall into despair. Those of you who know a man like this, the solution is often simple: Offer him hope. Give him a new mission with a way to make amends.

Simple, but not easy. How do you sell somebody the idea that a fleeting life is worth living--especially if they're in pain? How do you find a mission people can buy into?

Got a book coming out soon about this. Stay tuned. But also follow @HunterDrewTFA and read his blog posts on finding your mission and suicide.
