It should be noted that it is impossible to be a faithful Catholic and never pray to the saints, as the Solemnities of Holy Mary, the Mother of God, her Immaculate Conception and her Assumption; St. Joseph; St. Peter and St. Paul, Apostles; and All Saints are Days of Precept.
We had a very old deacon who said we should think of praying to the saints as taking a shortcut because God is very busy and the saints help with duties... still kinda confused there.

Thinking I’m gonna need to just read this Catechism cover to cover and not rely on RCIA folks to teach me with accuracy.
