I've been eating shredded cabbage with vinegar & oil almost every day and my waist line is shrinking dramatically, all the fat on my body is burning away. I had to drop a whole size of shirt. Realizing I used to stand with my hips forward from weight. Now I need perfect posture.

You just reminded me, this is something I need to write a post about. I lost 100 pounds after going vegan (because health reasons, not moral ones.) Nearly a year in, and that diet almost killed me. My IBS symptoms progressed into colitis, and I could barely function.

Then I started doing research into healthy diets, and found out that a mostly carnivorous diet is not only the most nutrient dense diet, but reverses many chronic diseases time and time again. I feel better than I have in years, and have stayed in shape + building muscle mass.

So while it's always a good idea to get the weight off sooner than later, I would be very careful doing this in the long term. This stuff catches up with you eventually, and it bothers me that people don't talk about diet often enough--because it's a huge problem for everyone.

Immensely true. Every friend or family member I’ve seen go vegan had heart problems later. Animal fats are so important. I pack in lots of protein with my cabbage.
