During RCIA I was told Confession is not a big deal, I don’t need to go more than once a month, and venial sins don’t really need to be confessed unless I’ve got nothing else. So they allot 15 minutes per week for the entire parish at 7:15am before Mass.
Thoughts, @padrebrendon?

In recommend people go to confession at least monthly, if not biweekly or weekly. While it’s true that sacramental confession is not required per se to forgive venial sins, this ignores that the grace of sacramental absolution also strengthens the penitent against temptation.

Regular confession of venial sins (what has traditionally been called devotional confession) is a practice both practiced and recommended by countless saints and popes.

Yes, except most parishes offer it, like Bro said, for 30 minutes a week. Apparently, those parishes are full of People Who Don’t Sin. Sorry, huge pet peeve of mine.

Our old parish only "offered" it about that often, but that was because it was all people actually used. The priests were happy - may, THRILLED - to schedule confessions at other times.

If they’re thrilled, I’ll definitely make use of that.
