I’m reading about these old-time pulp fiction writers in the ‘20s to ‘50s who wrote every single day like they were obsessed. I feel that same passion but trying to fit writing in that often seems impossible. Goal before the end of the year is to find ways to increase writing.

I only wrote 3 books and 2 short stories this year. To be making decent enough money to rescue my family from debt and raise our standard of living, I need to be pumping out way more content than that. Come 2019, I intend to throw this machine into overdrive.

I know the feeling. I’m on track to finish a 120k book in about 2 months. If I was able to do this full time, I could probably do it in a month or so.
-
Right. I know I could write and edit a full book every 2-3 weeks if this was a full time gig, I could produce 15 books a year easy.

I divided a 65,000-word book into a year. Just trying to get an average of 180 words a day fits my schedule. Some days more. Some less

I can understand that crunch. I’m hoping to hit 2,000 a day with 10,000 on Saturdays.

That's what happened to me. I built a lot of anxiety and nervous energy and I'm in the middle of a writing break to recharge. I'm taking mandatory breaks, a day off every other week to play games.

I'm going to schedule my time during the day a bit more to make my time used writing more efficiently used than it has been. That means showering at night.
