I don’t think there’s some great lesson here. I still love video games and I occasionally play them. I look forward to my kids getting older so we can explore them together. But the excess is gone. Priorities shifted and things had to change. Now gaming only exists in balance.

I plan to play the heck out of some games in the future. Just a few. I’ll probably have to take time off work and use the time as a personal recharge day. Now that I’ve unplugged from the constant hype and stimulation, I can choose to enjoy the hobby I one loved so much.
