But seeking to control others typically comes from that immaturity. Either the person views others as objects and lacks empathy, or they’re fearful of others and so try to manipulate them into safe patterns. Male and female have their own versions of this but the root is the same

Emotional maturity allows moral maturity. And once that’s achieved it cannot help but be noticed, and others find comfort in it. Then those others seek to follow to be near that person. This is natural leadership.
