Fellow Catholics, I’ve got a favor to ask:
@MrsBrometheus is a Christmas addict. She was so excited for her first Advent as a Catholic. Then she woke up the first morning to family tragedy and has been sad ever since.
Send her Advent stories and tips to encourage her, please.

Christians of any denomination: We welcome your prayers and stories as well. We are all one family and will celebrate Christ together. I ask Catholics for Advent stories because that was what she was looking forward to, but all Christmas things make her happy. :)

I don't have much to offer other than prayers.... Though, my brother decided to get a bigger tree this year. It's either 12 or 14 ft tall. He had to use a ladder to decorate it! Being dwarfed by one's own Christmas tree is kinda hilarious.

I have a friend who got two Advent calendars of edibles this year: one is wine and one is cheese. I laughed and said something to the effect of, "That just about covers it, right?" XD

Oh! I remember something: I loved blinking lights as a child, but my parents hated them. Every set of Christmas lights used to come with a handful of bulbs that, when used to replace a bulb in the set, would make the lights blink randomly.
