Hey @CastaliaHouse why are you charging $24.99 for the @NickColeBooks Soda Pop Soldier reprint? I bought the original for around $16 and was considering rebuying for the new cover but I won’t spend $25. And the same price for the Pop Kult Warlord paperback? That’s 5 Kindle books.

Have you tried Amazon?

This is the price they selected on Amazon. Castalia House is the publisher. This is the price they set for each paperback sold, the equivalent of 5+ kindle novels.

I love @NickColeBooks and I often buy paperbacks of his books, but if I’m going to be shamelessly gouged like this, I hope he finds a new publisher fast.

I’ve got at least 2 more family members who’d love a paperback copy of the sequel. But my copy plus two more would be $75. That’s unthinkable. I can’t justify such a huge price tag for three paperbacks. So I guess they’ll be getting gift cards.

When did paperback novels become a luxury item anyway? That price is crazy.

The irony is that a lot of traditional publishers want to focus on hardcovers because they can make more profit--at the expense of paperback editions that are supposed to be highly accessible to readers. That price makes more sense with a hardcover.

It's been a few years now but when I was buying hardbacks the top end price was around that.

That was exactly my thought, why pay hardcover prices for the paperback?
