It's not just that book, but several. I wonder if it has something to do with them being based in Europe. Are they focusing more on digital sales or what not? Or maybe Amazon is doing something to affect what they're doing?

I’m curious to know their reasoning. If they’re using the standard Print on Demand system, the books should be printed in the US and should not be a factor.

This is really expensive for a reprint. Then again, they sell new books, including repackaged old ones, for $30 plus here in NZ.
-
POD. Reprint doesn't matter. But it does increase cost.

That's what is commonly called a Rip Off, here in the UK.

Trade size, not mass market size. Original trade was 15, so between inflation and POD, it makes sense.

They're a touch cheaper on the arkhaven comics page. 20. But POD is always a bit higher than trad for pricing. Same size from trad is still around 16-17.
-
And the Harper version of SPS was 15 in tpb. Add a buck for inflation. Add 4 for POD, and you're right at the castalia/arkhaven direct price before shipping.

Huh. Now, not an apples to apples comparison, but mine are at $13 each on amazon. That’s almost no profit to me (I make that all on ebooks) and I assume his are longer than my teen length novels, so cheaper to produce. I do know last Comic Con I went to, hardcovers were 30 each

That I do not know. I will have to pass this on to the Supreme Dark Lord.

Much appreciated. I support your publishing house in all other ways, so I am curious about this move. It smells like price gouging, but before I am offended I wished to ask and be clear because that has not seemed to be the Castalia way.
