Sitting in Mass with my wife, infant, and toddler. Priest takes us into a moment of silence and reflection. In the stillness of our church, my son’s voice erupts in song: “Five little monkeys jumping on the bed!”

Because I’m not skilled in Latin. If you are, please help me out. :)

Latin is highly inflected. A noun's endings change depending on how it's used in a sentence. If your were making them the subject of a sentence they would be acta vel mors. Acta vel mortem would be used as the object of a verb. It's pretty complicated.

So if I wanted it to be “Action or death” like “Liberty or death,” how would that be conjugated?

Actio would be better than acta. (acta is the past passive participle of agere, to act.) So "Actio vel Mors"
