After Mass this week, our priest commented that he genuinely enjoys seeing and hearing us wrestle the kids in the front row every week. I asked how often he almost cracks up and he admitted he’s come close. That’s one major difference I’ve experienced from Protestant churches.

I think the difference is twofold: You want the kids and parents immersed in the worship and there’s no lengthy teaching part. Catholics have so many kids you can’t fit all the loud ones in a side room. Half the Church would be empty, with nothing but stern old ladies remaining.

The stern old ladies haven't held a baby for years. Have mercy on them, sit with them, and let them snuggle your babies.
