After Mass this week, our priest commented that he genuinely enjoys seeing and hearing us wrestle the kids in the front row every week. I asked how often he almost cracks up and he admitted he’s come close. That’s one major difference I’ve experienced from Protestant churches.

The stern old ladies haven't held a baby for years. Have mercy on them, sit with them, and let them snuggle your babies.

Only stern old ladies in church? Unheard of!
-
Sidenote: from 1st and 2nd hand I often heard the stern old ladies are actually happy to see the youth in church. Gives them a vision of a future, that it will not die with them.

Is that it? Latter Day Saints too. It gives families a chance to teach thier children over time about the proper behavior in church instead of just sending them off to be out of sight or to be entertained.
