Two helpings of high-fiber veggies for every helping of fatty food seems like a solid balance that burns fat, decreases portion size of fatty food, and has great health benefits.

Eat some seaweed (kombu, good in soups; nori sheets) or take iodine. Tons of raw cabbage or other cruciferous vegetable (broccoli, kale, etc) can inhibit thyroid hormone production. Probably not a big risk, but everyone could use a little iodine anyway.

I ate shredded cabbage last night. Albeit cooked in butter with bacon but nonetheless.

Great stuff, right?
