I mean, it got me into fantasy. That's gotta count for something. (And yes, I hold Conan, LotR, and others above Harry Potter, but it was my gateway into liking reading).

There’s nothing inherently wrong with Harry Potter. But a person building their entire worldview around a book series for children does not allow for much growth or understanding of nuance. That’s the concern. :)
