Even when we were dating, neither @MrsBrometheus nor I would have tolerated that behavior from each other. Going to parties alone and drinking apart like that is not conducive to a healthy marriage and signals an individual mindset, not a unified partnership mindset.

I mean this in the most loving sense, but it’s likely she’s already emboldened knowing you’re the kind of man she can cheat on and you’ll still call her your girlfriend. You won’t even decide for yourself what to do. I don’t mean that to be as harsh as it sounds, but it’s true.

It sounds like you may be a young kid with your first love. Not all women will act this way. Other men will say she did this because you were weak. Women of honor and integrity would warn you ahead of time you were disappointing them and would break up with you before doing this.

Perhaps she fell prey to the false song of radical feminism preaching freedom from personal responsibility, maybe she’s a woman of no virtue, or maybe her parents wounded her so she can’t attach to others. Not all women act without honor or integrity. Find a woman of virtue.

And you aren’t going to find a worthy wife at parties. Find your future wife where you’d want her to be when she’s not with you. Namely, at church or volunteering at charities. And you won’t keep a wife if you can’t uphold healthy boundaries and put an end to partying.
